The IRO offers an analysis of those regulatory changes being driven by international initiatives, particularly those arising from EU legislation. In producing the IRO, our primary concern has been to help stakeholders plan for regulatory change by highlighting issues of potential concern.

Addendum - 17 Jan 2007

In the part of the asset management sector message dealing with the CRD (page 25), we mistakenly referred to 'pure' asset managers as those who deal as principal. This sentence should say "It is expected that 'pure' asset managers, those who deal as agent, will fall mostly within the limited licence category".

We have now updated the document to reflect this change.
