Important changes to UKLA fees
Following CP07/3, Instrument 2007/17 includes a number of changes to the FSA's fees and levies, including changes to the UKLA's vetting and application fees.
In particular the changes include the introduction of a £50,000 vetting fee to be paid by issuers undertaking significant transactions and the removal of the tranche fee paid by issuers using issuance programmes. We encourage you to review the instrument, which was effective on 1 April 2007.
Fees Provisions (2007/2008) Instrument 2007
CP07/3 referred to the introduction of a UKLA Payment Form. We will expect this form to accompany all electronic transfers in payment of UKLA fees from 21 May 2007. The form can be downloaded and should be faxed to us on 020 7066 8364. This will help us to trace payments more quickly and reduce the likelihood of delays resulting from fee issues.

Also, as a result of the removal of the tranche fee payable by issuers using issuance programmes, we intend contacting programme issuers with unused tranche vouchers in order to make arrangements to provide an appropriate refund, and to pursue a number of issuers who have debts outstanding. You are also welcome to contact us on 020 7066 8333 (option 3) if you wish to arrange a refund or payment.
