TCF Conference - focused sessions
The FSA Treating Customers Fairly Conference was held on Tuesday 4 October 2005.
This conference included key industry and trade body speakers. We updated the industry on our current key TCF messages and highlighted the need for firms: 'to put treating customers fairly at the heart of their business structures so that it becomes business as usual'.
As part of the conference, there were eight focused sessions covering the following areas:
- Mortgages
- General Insurance
- Financial Promotions
- Management information
- Complaints handling
- Remuneration
- Product development and distribution
- Small firms
The aim of these sessions was to give delegates the opportunity to discuss some of the key elements of TCF in the eight areas listed above with peers across the industry. The discussions in these sessions were led by industry and FSA representatives.
We think it would help firms who did not attend this conference to be aware of what was discussed. We have published the output from these focused sessions so all firms can find out what was discussed by viewing the slides below.
Please note that the content of these slides is a record of the peer discussions that took place within the focus sessions. It is a reflection of current issues raised and is not necessarily the opinion of the FSA nor does it amount to guidance issued by the FSA.
