Book your seat at the Turner Review Conference – 2 November 2009
Help shape the future of banking reform.
What is it about?
The global financial services industry has started to recover from the financial crisis that began over two years ago. But the world’s financial markets and those who regulate them continue to face difficult challenges.
Since the publication of the Turner Review, work has continued on designing a new regulatory framework for the banking industry. However, as there is still a significant amount of work to be done in this area, we are holding this second major conference on global responses to the banking crisis.
The conference will look at international progress and discuss the future steps required to strengthen banking regulation. It will also be an opportunity to consider the issues in the Turner Review Feedback Statement and Discussion Paper, covering systemically important firms and the cumulative impact of capital and liquidity reforms.
Speakers include:
- Lord Turner, Chairman, Financial Services Authority
- Hector Sants, Chief Executive, Financial Services Authority
- Philipp Hildebrand, Vice-Chairman of the Governing Board, Swiss National Bank
- António Horta-Osório, Chief Executive, Abbey National plc
- Shyamala Gopinath, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India
