Young adults

www.whataboutmoney.info

Our new web site for young adults, 'What about Money?' is now live. This website provides impartial information for 16-24 year olds. From buying their first car, to starting work and renting their first place, it's the information most relevant to their particular needs. It has been developed in response to a clear need identified in our financial capability baseline survey. In shaping and developing the site, we asked young adults what they want on the site, how they want it, and who they wanted to hear it from. We have taken the approach to complement and not duplicate online resources from other trusted sources, where these already exist. We are using new technologies, with the aim of providing a first rate user experience, particularly in sharing the learnings and experience of other young people.

We will be promoting the site to young adults via a number of partners who relate to this audience, and also through PR. We also hope intermediaries working with young people can use it as a place to refer them to for further help when needed. We will crucially analyse feedback from young adults on the site, to make sure we really get the content right, to help them help themselves become more financially capable.

Anyone interested in helping promote the site to young adults, or interested in using any content on the site, please contact us.
