Welcome to the FSA Register
The FSA Register is a public record of financial services firms, individuals and other bodies which fall or have come under our regulatory jurisdiction as defined in the Financial Services & Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) and the Money Laundering Regulations 2007.
The FSA Register has information on all authorised firms currently doing business in the UK. The Register includes firms that are UK-authorised as well as those authorised in another European Economic Area (EEA) state that also conduct business in the UK.
Consumers considering or currently doing business with an EEA firm ('EEA Authorised'), may wish to ask for further information from the firm or its UK branch about its complaints and compensation arrangements. This is because the position may differ compared to a UK authorised firm.
Using the Register
When you first use the Register, the system will take you to the search screen for firms. From here you can then access the search screens for individuals, collective investment schemes and exempt professional firms by clicking on the relevant tab. You can move between the search screens by selecting the relevant tab.
We provide help on how to use our Register. We explain what you’ll find when searching for a firm or individual; common permissions/features to look out for; and what to think about when dealing with firms authorised in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA). You will also find explanations of the other search facilities, some key words and phrases. If you have any problems or questions about using our Register, please contact us on the numbers given below.
FSMA came into force on 1 December 2001 - if you require regulatory information from before this date and you are a member of the general public, please contact the FSA Consumer Helpline on 0300 500 5000 (call rates may vary).
