In this section you will find material relating to the FSA Handbook of Rules and Guidance. In addition to the categories below, you can also find information on the short selling instruments that were issued in September 2008.
Categories
- Key rules
Key rules set out, in an easy to understand format, our requirements for particular types of small firms in their day-to-day customer-facing work. It is not formal guidance and does not have the status of guidance in the Handbook. You cannot use Key Rules to counter a charge of breaking our rules.
- Handbook Notices
Handbook notices introduce the Handbook and other material made by the Board. They also contain information about other publications relating to the Handbook and lists minor corrections made to previous instruments made by the Board.
- Handbook development newsletters
Handbook newsletters contain information about recent Handbook-related developments, an updated timetable for forthcoming publications; and information about forthcoming conferences and training events.
- Handbook releases
The Handbook releases incorporate all updated pages for the Handbook by month. They can be printed off and inserted into your paper version of the Handbook in order to bring it up to date.
