The purpose of a disclosure log
The aim of this disclosure log is to release material, which in the FSA's opinion, is of wider public interest and in some cases an explanation and/or statement of context.
Disclosure Log Criteria
An item will only be added to the Disclosure Log of our publication scheme if it is of continuing wider public interest. Examples of this might be:
- A number of other requests have been made on the same or a closely related subject;
- Publication would demonstrate how the FSA spends the revenue it receives from regulated firms (but will not include single items of expenditure);
- Publication would demonstrate how the FSA exercises its regulatory functions or makes decisions;
- Publication would show progress FSA is making or enhance greater openness and transparency;
- Publication would inform public debate.
NB. Where an item already appears on the FSA’s Publication Scheme’s Guide to Information or the FSA’s external website, it will not be added to the Disclosure Log.
List of disclosures made under the Freedom of Information Act
Below is a list of some of the disclosures made under the Freedom of Information Act, which the FSA considers to be of wider public interest, with a short summary of each document and the date it was released. To preserve the integrity of the original documents, all files have been provided in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format and have not been formatted for accessibility. The list will be extended as items that the FSA considers to be of wider public interest are requested and released.
Some responses to Freedom of Information requests consist of large numbers of documents that are not held in an electronic format. Where practical, the documents concerned have been scanned and made available electronically.
However, in certain cases the volume of material involved has made this impractical and the information can be provided in a hard copy format only. For information about how to access any such material please call 020 7066 4406 or email us at: Publication.scheme@fsa.gov.uk
