This short course is part of the COBS training package and has been designed to give you an overview of the client categorisation requirement contained in COBS 3.

Objectives

When you have finished this course, you will be able to:

  • describe the client categorisation regime for MiFID and non-MiFID business;
  • specify the varying levels of protections that apply to clients in different categories; and
  • identify the issues that firms will need to consider when applying the client categorisation requirements after 1 November 2007.

This course will be relevant to all investment firms and businesses both in and out of MiFID scope

How is the information presented?

You take the course online. Its features include:
