Listing applications
The primary function of the Listing Applications team is to maintain the Official List of the FSA. The team processes applications for the listing of securities and issues notices in relation to suspensions, cancellations and restorations of listings.
To gain admission of securities to the Official List an issuer must make an application for Listing to our Listing Applications team. Generally, this involves an issuer or its advisers:
- completing an Application for Admission of Securities form;
- submitting the required listing fee;
- submitting the required application documents to Listing Applications; and
- arranging a listing hearing.
The Listing Applications team also has a helpdesk which can answer questions relating to the listing process and relevant rules.
Important
Admission of the securities to the Official List becomes effective when the FSA's decision to admit the securities to listing has been announced pursuant to LR 3.2.7G of the Listing Rules in a notice that we refer to as a "Dealing Notice". Under normal operations our Dealing Notice is published daily at 8am on the Regulatory News Service (RNS) under the heading 'Official List'.
Issuers and their advisers should check the Dealing Notice to ensure that securities are officially listed following an application. If, on the expected date of admission to official listing, the Dealing Notice does not contain details of the relevant securities please contact the Listing Applications helpdesk immediately.
