Offline (PDF) Forms
If you want to download or upload forms using GABRIEL you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or above. Without this, you will be unable to download the interactive PDF to your desktop (however, you’ll still be able to open and save data items).
Adobe Acrobat Reader & Proxy Servers
Some firms may experience problems when uploading the PDF form (i.e. message appears saying 'Account Locked'). We recommend that you discuss this issue with your internal IT team / consultant to ensure that the Adobe Acrobat Reader you are using can access GABRIEL without any authentication systems blocking the transfer.
In some cases, a 'Proxy Bypass' may be required to allow Adobe Acrobat to access the internet without passing through the proxy server.
Uploading PDF – What are Schema Errors?
A Schema Error occurs when one or more of the data elements within a data item (e.g. a Balance Sheet) contains an incorrect format (for example, an alpha character entered into a number field, or a mandatory field left blank).
If you get this error, please check the values entered into the data item to ensure they are in the required format (or schema, as format is called in GABRIEL).
The correct format (schema) can be found in the Data Reference Guide on our website. Alternatively, you can key the data directly into the online GABRIEL system for subsequent validation and submission.

You can get further details on downloading and uploading Offline (PDF) forms in the 'Advanced' section of the e-learning package.
