This course is designed for all firms who are subject to reporting using GABRIEL.
Returns due on 12 February
To support firms with the completion and submission of their regulatory returns using the GABRIEL system, we are extending the submission due date for returns due on 12 February by 5 working days to 19 February for all firms except those that had an MLAR due on 29 January.
Note that both any reminder emails sent and the schedule in GABRIEL will continue to state that these returns are due on 12 February as these are set automatically and cannot be adjusted to reflect the extension given.
Payment Services Directive
The data items (FSA056 and FSA057) introduced by the Payment Services Directive (PSD) are now available on the forward schedules of affected firms. For further information on PSD, see the PSD website and particularly the section on Being a Payment Institution.
Update to Complaints Data Item
The Complaints Return Instrument (FSA 2007/74) is effective from 1 August 2009. This will affect all firms that report using the Complaints Data Item. There will be a significant reduction in the data requested from firms as approximately 80% of the fields have been removed. For further information, please see the Instrument.
Complaints Data Items with a period end on or after 1 August 2009 will appear in the new format on your firm's schedule; Data Items with an earlier period end will appear in the old format.
GABRIEL operating hours:
Monday - Friday: 8am-10pm
Saturday - Sunday: 8am-5pm
Support for GABRIEL is provided by the Customer Contact Centre Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm.
