For your reference, we set out below versions of the RMAR, MLAR and Complaints data requirements, their accompanying guidance notes and validation rules.

Depending on factors such as the groups of regulated activities your firm undertakes, some or all of the data requirements set out in one or more of these datasets may not be relevant / applicable to the return submission you formally complete on-line.

The RMAR validation rules presented below apply until 29 September 2008. For information on the rules from 30 September onwards, please see the individual Data Item specifications in the Gabriel Data Reference Guide (DRG). The DRG is aimed at firms submitting Gabriel data in XML format but the Excel spreadsheet part of the specification for each data item contains the validation rules which are applicable to that data item whatever the submission method. The DRG also contains a separate PDF document setting out the Cross Validation Rules between data items.
