- By sending your job application to us you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) may use information about you supplied in your job application or which is subsequently supplied to us for the purposes of recruitment and, if your application is successful, for employment purposes. We may keep your information for up to 12 months even if you do not take up employment with the FSA. This is so that we can determine your suitability for other vacancies and for statistical purposes including equal opportunities monitoring and evaluation of our recruitment procedures. We may also monitor your use of this website for our internal purposes, including site performance, evaluating site use and to aid us update and improve our site.
- Your information will be controlled and processed by the FSA. Your information will also be processed on our behalf by the website host, i-GRasp, in the course of hosting this website. We will not disclose personal information about you to any other third party unless required to do so by law or regulators.
- Although the FSA takes reasonable steps to ensure the security of information in its possession, you acknowledge that the Internet is an open network and a transmission of information over the Internet is not controlled by the FSA. We have implemented technologies and security policies to protect the stored personal information from unauthorised access, improper use, unlawful or accidental destruction and accidental loss. You have certain rights under applicable law including the right to access or correct information. You acknowledge that information given by you is supplied voluntarily. You can update or correct your details online by accessing the 'update my details' link. If you wish to request details about your personal information or if you want us
to delete this information from our records, please send a written request for
the attention of Information Access Team, Knowledge Management, The Financial
Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS. We may ask you to provide proof of your identity so that we can deal with your request. We reserve the right to refuse to send you details of your personal information if you do not provide adequate proof of identity.
- In acknowledging an application, the FSA is not verifying the content, accepting the application or making any offer of employment or engagement. We are not obliged to accept any applications.
- You must ensure that any document, file or information that you intend to post to our website or otherwise provide to us does not contravene any applicable laws or contravene any person's legal rights. For example, you must ensure that the information is not libellous.
