We take an open and responsive approach to consultation. In particular, we have a consumer panel (Financial Services Consumer Panel) that monitors how far we fulfil our statutory objectives in relation to consumers. That panel was appointed and is funded by us, but is independent and free to publish its views on our work and to commission research on consumers’ views. The consumer panel has a statutory basis in the Financial Services and Markets Act.
