FAQs
Some of the questions firms have asked us about our work
Frequently asked questions
Do you publish a regular sectoral newsletter?
No, because we do not think that is appropriate for this sector. However, we aim to use these webpages to keep you up to date about particular initiatives.
Would you welcome input on what firms see as the priority financial stability risks?
We would be interested to receive any contributions or suggestions about priority areas.
Is the sector team involved in the arrangements for co-operating under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HM Treasury and the Bank of England?
Indeed. The team helps to organise the FSA's input to the monthly Standing Committee meetings under that MOU - with David Strachan as one of the FSA's representatives.
Is there an international dimension to the sectoral work?
There is a wide array of financial stability related work, in various international forums. The sector team provides the FSA's representation in a number of these cases. In others, it looks to ensure coherence in the FSA's contributions.
