Performance account

 

Although enforcement is a relatively small part of our work it is an essential, and very visible, component of our responsibilities. It is of great importance and interest to firms and their advisers, to markets and to consumers.

The Enforcement Process Review (EPR), published in July 2005, made a total of 44 recommendations, all of which were accepted by the FSA Board. Recommendation 44 of the review was that we should publish an Annual Performance Account of the fairness and effectiveness of our enforcement process when we produce our Annual Report. The first of these was published in July 2006.
